My Life is complete

Friday, December 10th 11:45am my water broke and i was driven to the hospital.  Even though I had had some false alarms I knew that it was the day.  I got to the hospital after calling my doctor's office to let them know and when i got the there they put me in a room right away.  It wasn't too nerve racking for the exception of when i was sure the epideral wasn't completely working.  I could still feel lots of sensation on my left leg.  I was terrified that i was going to be in alot of pain and there was nothing i could do.  All of a sudden the Doctor came in to check on me and said, ok it's time for you to push even though moments before the nurse had said I was at 8 cm and I still had a little bit more to go.  When the Doctor came in and said that it felt so unreal.  Could it really be happening that fast?  Within the hour (or if felt that quick) the nurse said i needed to stop pushing and she needed to get the doctor.  He came in and i pushed a couple more times and he asked me to stop and Emma just slipped out like nothing.  He had to help her shoulder but that was it.  I even had to ask if she was out because i wasn't sure.  Emma is so beautiful.  She looks exactly like Cailtin.  They are both so perfect.  I can't believe i helped make two of the most beautiful girls on earth.

David was great.  He was by my side even though he was so nervous.  I could see him sweat and his hands were like ices cubes.  I know that the delivery of both our girls were such a hard time for him but he was great!  I'm not sure when he found the time to get me a present from Emma but he did.  I got a charm for my bracklet that i will cherish with all my heart.

I have the most wonderful husband and two beautiful daughters, how could i be more blessed.  My life is perfect.

Change in Time

What a weekend?!?!  It all started on saturday.  We woke up to go to breakfast to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and went to Jim's for breakfast.  Caitlin was very well behaved and ate pancakes.  When we were getting ready to leave she wanted to wash her hands so we went to the bathroom and got her cleaned up.  When we were walking out, she was over joyed to see her Daddy waiting for us.  We were having such a great time that when we got home Caitlin wanted to go outside so we did.  We were out there only for a little while when i started feeling really bad. I started getting contractions and Caitlin didn't want to come inside.  I finally picked her up and brought her inside.  Well she wasn't happy but i was feeling horrible.  The contractions lasted about an hour and they were about 15 minutes apart.  Luckily they finally stopped.  I got so nervous!

We relaxed for the rest of the day until it was time to go to Jessica's baby shower.  I wasn't sure if i should go but i did since i was somewhat feeling better. Caitlin and I left for the baby shower but Caitlin wanted her Daddy to go.  She wanted to go to the party but she didn't realize he wasn't going until he wouldn't sit down in the car.  She cried for a little while until she fell asleep in the back seat.

Happy 39th Birthday to me!!!

What can I say, this weekend was amazing!!  I took Friday off since i had a doctor's appointment scheduled and I hate working on my birthday.  Well it turned out to be one of the best birthdays ever!!  I started the day by getting up a little earlier than most days since i had a doctor's appointment at 8 am for Emma's Non-Stress Test (NST).  When i got out of the shower, i could hear David and Caitlin talking and David was coaching Caitlin on saying, "Happy Birthday Mommy".  At one point i hear David whisper, "Can you say, Happy Birthday Mommy?" and Caitlin repeated back to him like of course I can, what are you talking about?!?!?!  When i got out, Caitlin was on the bed with David and they had a couple of cards and a present for me.  David's card, as usual, was the sweetest most loving card ever.  He always makes me tear up with the cards he picks out.  Caitlin had a snoopy card that was so cute and since she's into snoopy right now it was perfect.   My present was the Michael Buble latest cd.  I love Michael Buble's voice and music.  Anyway, to continue the day, i got dressed and went on my way to the doctor.  At the doctor's office if i get out of there within an hour and a half I'm jumping for joy so I relaxed in the traffic listening to my new cd.  Traffic was a little lighter than normal and lucking only took my about 40 minutes to get to the doctor's office.  Once there I think i was there from 45 minutes and to an hour and i was done.  It was the quickest doctor's visit i can remember.  The NST turned out really well and i was only on the machine for about 10 minutes.  After getting out of the Doctor's office i went and got a few more things for the Halloween Lunch at Caitlin's school and decided to stop my this restaurant by the house and to my surprise they had "gorditas".  I've been wanting those for at least two week's if not more so i got two.  They were really, really good.  David and I then spent some quality time getting all the stuff together to take to the daycare.  We helped out with lunch at the daycare and then headed out for some icecream to kill some time before we needed to got to Dr. McCray's office for Cailtin's possible pink eyes.  It turned out to be pink eye but she advised to wait to get the medication until sunday because it really wasn't all the severe and it could clear up on it'sown.  Well there went our plans out the window in going out that night and having Sarah, Dan and Maddie come hang out with Caitlin.  There was no way we would chance Caitlin giving Maddie pink eye.  I was really dissapointed but i knew it was just the way it had to be so we came home and relaxed.  At dinner time David asked what i wanted to do and so i said i wanted to go to my favorite restaurant but knew he would say no because Caitlin was sick and she wouldn't behave enough for us to enjoy a dinner like that.  Well to my surprise he said yes, let's get going.  (i also thought he would say no since he had icecream during lunch and he wouldn't want to eat so much for dinner)  Well we headed out to Shogun and had a fanastic dinner. Caitlin sat on David leg the whole night and shared his food with him and i was able to enjoy my dinner with Emma.  Once we got home, Caitlin and David sand me happy birthday and we enjoyed a cupcake each.  It was great to hear Caitlin singing happy birthday to mommy!!  It was a perfect birthday!!!

On Saturday we didn't do alot other than get Emma's 5 drawer dresser put together and i was able to take a couple of hours nap.  it was a great relaxing day.

On Sunday, I had a baby care class so i went to that about

No More Glowing

Well the glowing has come and gone and now I'm just fat!!

We have been so busy that I haven't been able to make time to Blog but I have made some good notes to fill in the blanks when i do have some time.  Emma's room is coming along and i can't wait to put all her clothes in it's place.  Hopefully this long weekend we will have time to do that.  The house is a mess and driving both David and I crazy I'm sure so it's time to put it in full gear but not until i do a few things for my little peanut.  On Friday the daycare is having a Halloween lunch for them and even though I am off that day, I don't want her to miss it.  Therefore, i'm trying to make it extra special.  Each parent was suppose to sign up for an item of food so after my doctor's appointment for Emma (my pumpkin) I will be making some pigs-in-blanket that look like mummies. Won't that be fun?!?! I also asked David if he was ok with joining me at the Daycare during the time the kids go to the playground to decorate with balloons before they have their lunch.  After that Caitlin can come home with us if she wants but it sure would be nice to have her stay at the Daycare so i can get stuff done at home so we can do fun stuff on Saturday and Sunday.

Glowing

So I have decided that I will be pregnant for the rest of my life.  I have gotten so many compliments today that it makes me think that i don't look pretty any other time!  I went to lunch with some co-workers and the owner of the restaurant said, " aww, your having a girl!" so i had to ask how she knew that and she said, "because you look prettier...and that's what happens when pregnant women have girls."  Soooo two tasks at hand, be pregnant all the time and make sure they are all girls.  Considering that David thinks he knows everything and we would always have girls then I think I am set for success!

Caitlin has been so wonderful and she is growing up so fast! She's communicating so much more and being polite.  (she does have her moments but overall she's a good girl.)  Today she wore a purple dress and a pony tail and she looked so cute! I just love her so and it's going to be so much fun having the two girls playing together.  I really hope they look alike and get along.

Brownsville Trip

Caitlin and i went to Brownsville at the end of February.  David was able to drop us off and it was so nice to spend some family time for a few more minutes before our long weekend at Grampa's house.  I almost changed my mind at the airport since we were ready to go into the airport at the security checkpoint and Caitlin gave her Daddy a kiss and then she wanted to go back for another.  When we were walking away she kept saying, "daddy, daddy!!" in this really sad voice.  I didn't think i could handle her being upset so I almost changed my mind.  I quickly thought, McDonalds. She'll want some food and that will distract her from Daddy. Sure enough it worked. Yiippppee!!!  We got some McDonald and started to the gate.  She then made a friend with a little boy named Ian.  They were going to the Valley aswell and they both enjoyed looking at the planes before we boarded.  Once on the plane Caitlin seemed really comfortable so I wasn't too worried but this time she didn't want to sit on her own seat she wanted to sit on my lap.  I'll take those moments anytime so complied with her request.  The flight was really smooth and she enjoyed looking out the window a couple of times.  Once we arrived in Harlingen, she said, "Uoh, Oh" when we landed.  It was the cutest thing.  We were able to get our bags and she wasn't shy with Grampa.  He was so happy to see her he sat in the back sit to visit with her on the way to his house.  In Brownsville, we got to visit with Nena, Gaby, Enrique, Lily, Zariah, Layla, Cuqui, Fernando, Lissette, Stephen and Sonia.  Thursday we went to my sister's work to visit and Caitlin, of course, got all the attention.  She was even able to take home a little stuffed dog that my sister had at her desk that she just loved.

Caitlin got to play with Gaby's cat which she really enjoyed.  She colored with Zariah and Layla for the afternoon and shared some cookies and some special juice that made her very hyper.  We won't be having anymore of that juice...thanks Tia Nena. :)

Caitlin had lunch with the "girls" on Friday.  We got to have dinner with my sister and her family Friday night at Texas Road House.  Saturday, Layla and Zariah came to play for a little while in the afternoon.  Tio Enrique and Tia Nena gave Cailtin a very special bear from Build-A-Bear with a heart that you can hear and feel.  She loved it!  Thank you so much for all the love you give Caitlin.  Though she doesn't see you all very much I know that she loves spending time with the family and enjoys it.  I don't remember when but she also got to go to the mall and the park.  It seems like we did alot in such a small amount of time.

Regardless, of all we did she missed her Daddy.  I'll tell you why, when my Dad dropped us off at the airport she was really well behaved and was ready to go.  When we landed in San Antonio, I told her were were going to go look for Daddy and as soon as she got off the plane and started walking in the airport she started shouting, "Daddy!!, Daddy!!".  At times she would run to go further to finding him.  As we approaching the Security check point David was waiting there and when she saq him, she dropped her doggy that she was caring a ran to hug her Daddy.  She did stall a little when she realized that she had dropped her doggy quickly picked him up and ran to Daddy.  I hope i never forget the way she makes me feel right now.  She is my little treasured peanut!!

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!! Caitlin had a party at her school and it was lots of fun! The kids ate Chic-fil-a, pizza and apple sause. After all the running around and eating they took their naps and I went back to work but it was a great time!! Caitlin seemed to enjoy herself. David and I took Caitlin to dinner on Friday for Valentine's day to eat Japanese food and she seemed to enjoy that. She seemed to really like the food and she was so adorable that the waiter gave her a balloon when we left. Now, she didn't behave the whole time but she wasn't too bad either. Not the quiet dates we used to have but I wouldn't change it for the world!!

Caitlin continues to surprise me. Tonight she put on her own shoes on her own and they were on the correct sides. I didn't really think she would do it even though the teachers had been telling me that she had. She is growing so fast and I wish I could be with her all the time so I wouldn't miss a thing. She also sits at the table with us without her highchair and eats her food on her own. Once in a while, she'll want to sit with us still but she seems to be more independent. I think she misses us too since she looks for her Daddy all the time now. This morning she would call out to him to come to her but Daddy had already gone to work. Can't but hurt my heart but I know that she enjoys the time she spends with us. Lately, I'll ask her if she wants to go to school and she'll say "no" in her cute little voice but as soon as I ask her if she wants to play with Olivia and Brooke she'll say, "YEA".

Tonight when we spoke to my Dad I asked Caitlin if she would give grampa a kiss and she would say, "no". I'm sure that hurt my Dad's feeling but how do you control that? My Dad played it off and said, "wait 'til i see you little girl" in spanish. Caitlin is in big trouble with her Grampa but I'm sure he'll soon forget when he sees her next time. At least I hope...

Ouwwie

Caitlin has been interacting with us so much more.  It seems to me that the 18 month mark turned an on switch with her.  This weekend she gave me so many kisses it was great!!  We would play and since she now says "peeze" when she want something or wants more of something, i have tricked her into giving me kisses when she wants to do something too.  For example, she was jumping so before she would jump she would give me a hug and a kiss and then jump.  It was a great game!!  She's been brushing her teeth really well too.  She actually tries to spit the toothpaste out but nothing comes out because she eats it first.  She has also done much better with the potty training but hasn't actually done it yet.  Hopefully soon.  We purchased some big girl panties with elmo and minnie so we might try those out real soon.  I have received advise from several people that putting them in those will help the process alot more.  I just hope we don't have too many accidents...

Today was David's birthday, we didn't do all that we wanted but we had some quality time together as a family.  We got to go out to eat and do some shopping at the Culebra Market Place.  It was nice getting out.  I just wish that it was a little more exciting for David's birthday so it could be memorable.  Well, hopefully next year I'll plan something better. Happy Birthday Honey!!

Going thru old photos

Today I got to talk to an old friend, Maria Elena Hernandez. I think I can probably count on one hand the people I consider my very good friends. I would say Sonia is my very best friend because every since i met her i don't think i have ever gone extremely long periods of time without talking to her. Maria Elena, Neneka, is my longest friend...I've known her since Elementary School. Tonight, I finally got to talk to her again. I've been looking for her for a really long time. I was so excited when i signed up on facebook in hopes that I would find her but it didn't seem successful until this weekend. Somehow her daughter got onto facebook and sent me an email saying that her mom went to high school with me. I couldn't believe what I was reading... FINALLY!! Anyway I sent Gabi an email and told her to have her mom call me if she could. She gave her mom the message and Maria Elena called. Unfortunely, I missed the call but I called back as soon as i could.
Now for all of you that don't think Caitlin looks like me.  Your RIGHT!!  I'll stop fighting....  While i was looking for old photos I came across these.  Now I know that I was probably older than Caitlin is now but about the only thing that has any resemblance is the holding the hand up in the air.  :)

Bad Things come in threes

So I'll always say that bad things come in threes.  First, Shiloh gets sick.  He seems to enjoy jumping onto the bed to sleep on it even though he gets hurt most of the time.  Second, We walk out of Walmart to find a flat tire on my car.  There was a car key in my tire that caused it to be flat.  My friend Kerry helped out by picking up David and our bags of groceries while the very helpful service department of Walmart provided their expectional service.  I was very surprised that the service department at Walmart was wonderful.  Houston (the guy at walmart) came out with his little machine and added air to the tire and i was able to drive it to the back to get the tire fixed.  Third, I have a car accident.  That was the first accident in like twenty years.  It wasn't too bad but i still felt so nervous at that moment.  I wish i didn't get those panic attacks when something big happens.  Surprisingly my theory wasn't right this time!!  Fourth, Caitlin got an ear infection infection.  She woke up on Monday with a shut eye with gunk on it and i was sure it was pink eye.  I'm not sure what worse, pink eye or ear infection....  regardless I hate when Caitlin is sick and I wish i could have a wand to make it all better.

Brookeee

This morning was like no other.  It was one amazing morning!!  Caitlin and I were sitting at the daycare waiting for Caitlin to finish her breakfast.  Ms. Gaby (Caitlin's teacher) went to a classroom to get Brooke and when Brooke came out of the classroom, Caitlin pointed and said, "Brooke".  I was so amazed that I praised her as much as i could without looking like a crazy woman.  It was the neatest thing to see her see her best friend come out of the room.  Brooke came over and sat on my lap and Caitlin reached out and touched Brooke on her leg as if to say, "Good Morning Brooke, it's nice to see you."  I told both girls that it was time to go into their room so Caitlin reached to hold Brooke's hand and walk over to the classroom.  Caitlin was walking backwards but would not let go of Brooke's hand.  It was the cutest, cutest thing.  They are going to be great Best Friends!!

18 months

Well Caitlin has passed her 18 months and it's been a wonder adventure.  It seems to me like a switch was turned on and she's been talking so much more.  She says things like, more, please, nana, brooky, yea, and doggie.  She also gets excited with school buses and concrete trucks.  I think the concrete trucks are because of the movie Transformers.  It's amazing to me how fast she has grown up and developed.  Amazingly, i still wonder on a daily basis how i was able to create this beautiful and smart little girl.  She loves going to daycare to see her friends.  This week's routine included me asking in the morning if she wanted to go play with Brooke and Olivia.  Every single time she would say, "YEA".  She always seems so happy to see them when we get to the school and they are there or if they walk in when i'm there.  I would not trade my life for anything in the world.

I love my husband and my little girl.
